She woke up shivering, drenched in a cold sweat. 5. This is the first day of the rest of my life. 6. Stop thief! 7. The cat shattered both the vase and the silence with his clumsy steps. 8. The only audible sound was the pitter patter of the rain on the roof. 9. Nothing was in place. 10. A full moon was shining brightly over the quiet town, when all of a sudden a shot was heard, breaking the silence. 11. The day was as boring as watching paint dry on a wall. 12. The fire was crackling softly as he leaned in to kiss me. 13. It was the worst news of my life. 14. She was texting someone on her cell phone while driving, not noticing the little boy crossing the street right in front of her. 15. He stood naked right in front of me. 16. I was putting on my makeup in the bathroom when the phone rang.
