The probability of getting an X chromosome from his paternal grandfather is none, since the X from his grandfather will go to his mother not father. b. a male has the same X chromosome as his maternal grandfather This could happen. An example is the inheritance of the baldness trait. This can be passed on from the grandfather to the mother who will be the carrier of the X with the trait, and then to the son who will manifest the trait. c. a female has the same X chromosome as her maternal grandmother d. a female has the same X chromosome as her maternal great-great-grandmother These 2 could happen since the maternal X chromosome can be passed to either son or daughter in the next generation.
