This example is required to be about a close relationship (romantic love). a) Think of one of these three people right now. Who is this person? For example, past boyfriend, spouse, etc. (1 pt.) b) Consider how she/he stands on each of Sternberg’s three factors (passion, intimacy, and decision/commitment). EXPLAIN THOROUGHLY BY PROVIDING CONCRETE (“REAL”) EXAMPLES FOR, ALL THREE OF, THE BASIC COMPONENTS OF LOVE. The following is NOT a concrete (“real”) example for commitment (one of the basic components of love). “John showed commitment because he really wanted to be with me.” The following is a concrete (“real”) example for commitment. “John showed commitment because he asked me to marry him and live my life with him.” (3 pts.) Question 2: Choose another person for whom you have felt a different kind of love from the one described in question 1. a) Think of that person right now. Who is this person?
