Late 20 th century : Organizational business practices came to include ethics and community awareness. Currently : Advances in technology presents increasing social pressures to become socially and environmentally responsible.

Community Role Main Types of Communities Geographic Communities : Share a physical space as well as some shared values in common. Communities of Interest : Members formed by shared characteristics. Virtual Communities : Primarily interact by communication media rather than face-to-face.
