Economic Rationing (fee-for-service) A. Doc bills patient directly for treatment B. Claim-based rather than need-based C. You get only what you can pay for, or what your insurance will pay for D. Rich ppl get more, poor ppl get less or none Insurance comp is big here Getting too expensive for middle class E. Assumes econ marketplace regulates supply and demand Not true free market cuz there is monopoly and consumers don’t know about the
