Bernard 1 UNIV 102 Personal Development Plan Submitted by Dylan Bernard on 06/05/2017 I. In the years, prior to starting at this university, I have lost my way with God. I would like to return in his good grace as I once was. I hope that God guides me in this journey of learning to reconnect with him. God has gifted me with attributes that I am very thankful for. He has giving me kindness, compassion, patience, wisdom, and generosity as well. He has designed me to help others as he helped me in my tribulations. I believe that God wants me to survive and help others. In the past year, I have been plagued with pain. I have had 10 surgeries, 1 emergency surgery, and stated dialysis. After all my struggles, that I have been through, I have stayed strong and never gave up. About three days ago, my dialysis ports were pulled out if my chest in the middle of the night. I did not bleed out, though that is what should have happened. I went to the emergency room and they could not explain why I was not dead. I knew exactly why. God gave me a sign that he wanted me to live. It was the biggest wakeup call of my life. The reason I tell you this little piece of my past is simple. History of a man’s past can tell you about is character.
