Mental Health Division for Community Integrations Support Services Proposal 3 Introduction/Where to start first: Community Integration Support Service agency is a community service provider, whom works in the private sector of Family and Child Welfare as a non-profit. CISS will only use a program with clients that is well accepted by many agencies all over the world, called the nurturing program. The idea of family preservation and the reunification of families is something that CISS feels strongly about. CISS will target is on the education of the parent on how to raise their children in a loving environment. Mission: Community Integration Support Services understands that families are a communities number on resource. CISS’s mission is to serve the families in Indiana with compassion and nurturing, while providing intervention and family support services. Empowering families with the correct knowledge for their specific needs and in return, learn new skill set to break barriers and enable families to thrive. Programs: Programs that are offered through CISS are all based on the age of the child. Supervised Visitation, provided for children whom are in the state’s custody. Relatives that are approved by the Department of Child Services can have visitation with the child. Visits are held so that relatives can continue the bond with the child in a safe environment. Literacy & Tutoring Program: CISS provides individual or group tutoring and homework assistance for grades K-12 in all school subjects. Mentoring and Life Skills Program: Mentoring for males and females for all youth. We also provide Independent Living Skills for ages 15-21 years old.

Mental Health Division for Community Integrations Support Services Proposal 4 Domestic Violence Intervention: CISS offers domestic violence intervention and outreach program is for the survivor and child. It is a 6 moth wrap around program (depending on client’s needs). Our services include, but not limited to: group therapy, group play therapy (children), support groups, parent education classes, case management/advocacy, crisis intervention, family reunification, life/social skills classes, individual/family counseling, resources and referrals (i.e. safe shelter, clothing, food, job training, employment, safety planning, legal
