List them in order of importance and explain why they are important.The three most important facts about Taiwan are firstly, the form of government. The name of the state that governs Taiwan is the Republic of China, making it a parliamentarydemocracy. This is very important because many do not know that Taiwan is the largest island under its jurisdiction, and has most of the population. Despite it being part of the Republic of China, it now has a very successful economy and also a functioning capitalistdemocracy. Secondly, that the population of Taiwan is approximately 23.5 million people and about 98% of them are ethnically Han Chinese. Thirdly, that Taiwan’s constitution guarantees freedom of religion and 93% of people there profess one faith or another. Most of them adhere to Buddhism, often with the combination of Confucianism/ Taoism.
