Celine Cottenoir Der-Gao Lin PHYS 1305.01 7 March 2017 PHYS IRT #7: Roswell, New Mexico An article titled “Roswell 1947 UFO Incident” from a website titled Conspiracies.net had many claims about the conspiracies surrounding Roswell, New Mexico. The excerpt from chapter 7 of the “Physics for Future Presidents” would suggest that the UFO instances were nothing more than debris of a satellite to spy on the Soviets. This article admits that most consensus agrees about the fact that the objects were debris, but provides different opinions on the matter. One of the first hypothesis the article mentions is that the disk/balloon observed was, in fact, a time machine. Although not much insight or evidence is provided to support this claim. The article also mentions a book written by William Corso and Phillip Birnes, titled The Day After Roswell. The novel written by Corso and Birnes makes claims that one of the authors, Corso, helped the U.S government in the advancement of high technological machinery.
