PreLab Six 1. Well, when work = force x distance, with the constant force on the book due to gravity and the movement in distance from the floor to the table, then we do work when moving the book. 2. Because the book is moving at a constant speed v, the force on the book = mass x gravity. 3. The length of the box is the length from the floor to the table, measured in meters. The height of the box is the force on the book at a constant speed, measured in Newtons.
