5/21 Framing Reflection I really appreciated these readings and discussions because, although obvious at times regarding the ideas from a broad perspective, they made me think in-depth about similar topics or situations in my life. The examples, some very obscure and unknown to me, were very useful in allowing me to compare my personal examples to allow a better understanding of what Fairhurst was trying to get at. I have always struggled with trying to articulate my ideas regarding leadership, what is or what makes a good leader. Through the various descriptive attributes that she lays out to being helpful in being a leader and the book not only describes it, but makes you think about it through direct personal questions, I was able to grasp the terms and learn more about myself and what I think makes a leader. As we’ve brought up in class, there are certain people each individual looks up to and views as their ideal leader, or at least what they view as a good leader, and for me those are the
