EXAM 3 2 1. Stoltzfus states that he loves that coaching is client-centered. Why? Stoltzfus (2005) mentions that he loves that coaching is client-centered because it works in a way that honors an individual’s ability to hear God for themselves, that discernment is directed by the client, and that the client sets the agenda as well as solves their own problems. 2. In coaching, you are not giving your clients a product, but a service. What are the three services that coaching provides? The three services coaching provides to clients are: “an environment that helps them think more clearly, an acceptance that frees them to explore without shame; and an unconditional belief that leaves them energized and motivated to change” (Stoltzfus, 2005, p. 118) 3. What are the five key reasons for why being goal-driven is vital to coaching effectively? Stoltzfus (2005, p. 129) says, “the five key reasons for why being goal-driven is vital to coaching effectively are: 1. Clarity. A goal represents a decisive choice by the client to pursue a particular end. 2. Power. Declaring a goal unleashes God’s power on the client’s behalf. 3. Motivation. Visualizing the end result motivates the client to pursue a better future.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
