Hébert Answer the questions below to analyze the “logic” of an article. Use complete sentences and provide evidence (with page numbers from the article to support your answers/reflections). 1. The main purpose of this article is: (State as accurately as possible the author’s purpose for writing the article.) To discuss the representations of genders and various racial groups in film, music, television, radio and other types of media, also the presentation of the Critical Race Theory. The topic of masculinity and femininity will also be explored. (Pg.297-298) 2. The key question that the author is addressing is: (Figure out the key question in the mind of the author when s/he wrote the article.) The key question that the author is addressing is the attacking of the information that we as a society intake. Because of all that we intake from the media, we are prompted to assume and believe something that isn’t necessary true. The racial categories that we use to differentiate human differences have been created and modified to meet the requirements of the dynamic social (Pg.297)
