Set up the Triple Output DC Power Supply to +12V, -12V and +5V. Task 2. Measure the voltage of the DC Power Supply by Digital Multimeter (DMM). Table 1. Data sheet for Task 2. What is the difference between selecting the 20V button and 200V button as the range of the voltage value to be measured? Answer: Voltage range of 20V can measure the signal with higher precision but lower in range while voltage range of 200V can measure the signal with higher range but lower precision. Question 2. Compare the best accuracy and the worst accuracy of the measurements between the meter range of 20V and 200V. Answer : The measurement value come from the same device (digital multimeter). The accuracy of both measurements would be nearly the same. To calculate the accuracy Accuracy = (measured value - true value)*100% / (full range value)
