Unformatted text preview: About the Cultural Event (Espaol 102) What is a Cultural Event? Students enrolled in all levels of Spanish courses are required to attend one Cultural Event per semester. A cultural event is a function that presents some facet of Hispanic (Spanish, Latin American or Chicano) culture. Examples of common events are: museum exhibits, lectures, conferences, theater works, newly released and recommended films, dance productions, etc. This includes suitable events held on campus, with the exception of those that take place in the Quad. It is more likely, however, that you will need to attend an off-campus event, so plan ahead and be prepared to arrange transportation. Examples of non-events: shopping trips to Tijuana; your best friends cousins daughters Salsa party; almuerzo at Seor Fishs. . . .
