About  the  Cultural  Event   (Espa ñ ol  102) What is a Cultural Event? Students enrolled in all levels of Spanish courses are required to attend one Cultural Event per semester. A cultural event is a function that presents some facet of Hispanic (Spanish, Latin American or Chicano) culture. Examples of common events are: museum exhibits, lectures, conferences, theater works, newly released and recommended films, dance productions, etc. This includes suitable events held on campus, with the exception of those that take place in the Quad. It is more likely, however, that you will need to attend an off-campus event, so plan ahead and be prepared to arrange transportation. Examples of non -events: shopping trips to Tijuana; your best friend’s cousin’s daughter’s Salsa party; almuerzo at Señor Fish’s. . . . If you have any doubts regarding the suitability of a particular event, consult with your professor. What do I turn in?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
