This period is seen as a “window in time” Ex) embryonic development and whatever stage taking place being extremely sensitive to any interruption Ex) getting German measles can result in birth defects Ex) the FLK syndrome is the funny looking kid syndrome Ex) thalidomide can result in missing limbs Ex) dog domestication. There is a critical period within 10-14 weeks where the dog must
