MENTAL HEALTH CONSULTATION2Connection between each theoretical orientation used by Dr. Remoc and the fourinterventions utilized in the case. The connection between the theoretical orientation and the four interventions is that theyall utilizes more than one approach for treating the disorder. Dr. Remoc believed that acombination of interventions increases a child chance of recovery, such as, using drug therapy, and pairing it with behavioral therapy treatment. And the 4 interventions is a combination ofmultiple different alternative approaches to treat the client, instead of utilizing one or the othersuch as the drug stimulate, ore either the behavioral therapy by itself. When taking the stimulant, drug studies have shown, that it increased attention capacity, resulting in behavior that is morefocused and controlled. The other connection is the behavior modification program, which theinterventions treatments are based on the ABC module of behavior. The A in the model denotesantecedents and maintained by its consequences. The B denotes behavior itself, and C denotesthe consequences of behavior, behavior is seen prompted by certain antecedents, and maintainedby its consequences. The behavior modification program is to increase the rewards for engagingthe alternative behaviors under the same antecedent conditions. Learning alternative behaviorsinvolve more than just adjusting incentive and antecedents Some skills should be taught directly. This skill will have to be learned first to respond to incentives to implement it. Direct behaviorskills follow a sequence, which the child receives an explanation of the skill, then he observes amodel demonstrating the skill, then he performs the skill, after the skill is learned then they canemploy it in each situation. Theocratically the more skills are employed, the more the child willuse it without thinking about it, receiving naturalistic positive reinforcement which is allimplemented by the four treatment components stimulant medications, parental training using
