Nate Christensen AST101 Summer Semester Pam Friese Lunar Project Report At the start of the class I first thought of this assignment as being sort of pointless  because we were trying to determine the synodic period of the moon which is listed in out book,  obviously I was wrong, I took the assignment for face value at first and didn’t recognize that we  weren’t just trying to determine the synodic period, over the course of the project I’ve gotten a  better feel of the night sky, learned about the different constellations, and positions in the sky.  I’ve also learned about the different phases the moon experiences and how they relate to our  Earth. In the project we were trying to measure the synodic period of the moon by means of rise  time and we also noted its position in the sky and the moon phases which I found to be quite  interesting.  My parents own a sail boat on Lake Michigan at DuSable Harbor next to Navy Pier so it  was pretty convenient to take the boat out every week about a mile off shore to make my  observations. Of course being on a boat I had a pretty nice and extremely accurate compass to

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
