FARS Online - http://he-cda.wiley.com/WileyCDA/Section/id-106057.html to subscribe ($29.95 for 12 months) – you will not need access to this database until October 22 4. Additional materials as specified. RECOMMENDED REFERENCE: It is recommended to also have access to an intermediate financial accounting text. ELECTRONIC RESOURCES: We will use a number of electronic resources for this course. I will provide access information, when necessary, and external links in Blackboard. For tax research, we will access resources including CCH Tax Research, Tax Management Portfolios, LexisNexis Academic and the IRS. For financial research, we will access resources including the Financial Accounting Research System (FARS), the SEC Edgar database, and the FASB. PREREQUISITE: ACC 420, Federal Tax Concepts or equivalent GRADING: Your letter grade for the course will correspond to the following grading scale: 93-100% (442 - 475 points) (A); 90-92.9% (428 - 441 points) (A-); 87-89.9% (413 - 427 points) (B+); 83-86.9% (394 - 412 points) (B); 80-82.9% (380 - 393 points) (B-); 77-79.9% (366 - 379 points) (C+); 73-76.9% (347 - 365 points) (C); and <73% (< 347 points) (F). Your grade will be determined based on the following:
