Josh Mittleman ID# 22722963 TA – Liz Whynott HW #5 March 28, 2008 These excerpts were very interesting. The whole concept of ‘walking on water’ is very fascinating. The assignment that he gave to that class is one that I almost wish was given to me so that I could’ve understood this years ago when I was much younger. One can find his or her purpose in life simply by living. It’s not the end of the world if someone doesn’t immediately go to college and immediately go to graduate school and immediately get a job. It’s ok to take a year off after college to travel the world. Living life is the only way to truly figure out what you like to do and what you would be happy working as for the rest of your life. Perhaps you figure out you’d rather live in the woods and never work 1 day in your life. Someone cannot figure this out if they immediately follow the norms of society and go immediately from high school to college then to grad school and then to the work force. Once you have found your purpose, life is not guaranteed to be easy. Life will
