The first New deal o The AAA: provided protection for farmers o FDIC o CCC: Conservation Comm Corps o Public works adminstration This was very aggressive, created by FDR, called his first 100 days Tourism and Colorado Long history in the West and in Colorado Rail transit carried tourists into the mountains Grand hotels California and Colorado dominated western tourism Rise of the middle class Rocky Mountain and Mesa Verde National Parks The arrival of the automobile Tuberculosis The states climate now a commodity to sell to visitors seeking health and restoration People flocked to Denver and Colorado to find relief Economic Diversity Farming, ranching George Crammer He was the son and grandson of two Texas rangers. Manufacturing, coal mining Water development Frasier river As you cross Jones pass youre on the western slope which is drained by the Colorado River which is the 60% of the states water supply.
