Running head: LEARNING STYLES OF AUTISM CHILDREN2There are many ways to learn and there are many ways to teach. In psychology you learnthat the brain work in many different ways. I found discussing the learning styles of childrenwith autism to be interesting because I’ve been working with this population for over 3 yearsnow and I’ve learned that not all of them learn the same way. The learning styles of children withautism interest me because I have learned a lot from them when it comes to learning new thingsand how they process the new information given. Also, my career goals are to become a speech-language pathologist that work with children and in this field I’ll have to learn how each childand their ability to speak will be different from each other because not all of them learn the sameway or use the same method of communicating. So being able to discover the ways they learnwill help enhance the knowledge needed to build on their educational learning to help increasetheir need to communicate efficiently. While constructing this paper I will be conductingresearch to find information that will explain some of the unique ways children with autismlearn. According to the article Visual Hybrid Development Learning System (VHDLS)framework for children with autism,“the effect of education on children with autism serves as arelative cure for their deficits.
