Writing Assignment One As a child I lived the first 12 years of my life in Peshawar, Pakistan. Although my parents were decided upon coming to America, they were clueless as to which state to live in. It was a tough task for my Dad to decide upon living matters because he had almost no geographical knowledge of America. In Peshawar, maps were not popular because cartographers could not make a proper reference map of all the man-made features. Reason for this unfortunate truth was the nameless broken roads and buildings. One day my dad took notice of a book my aunt brought me from U.S. The book was filled with maps of America, but the generalized maps helped my dad very little in his decision, they were over simplified for kids. Decisions were never finalized; sometimes it ended up in a fight between my parents, or rather a heated debate of convincing each other. I was the only one taking the geographic aspect of this situation into consideration, where as my parents were fighting over which aunt to live closest to. My hope was to
