Kacy Grady WRTG 1150 MWF 2-2:50 1. In paragraphs seven and eight, the boy describes the way he was feeling at the time of the event by explaining how he felt the same feeling in the future, when he was in Vietnam. He describes how the position of having power is useless if the people with no power have no fear. As a boy, he remembers this feeling to be irritating; as a grown man, the same feeling he remembers to be just as aggravating. 2. The author’s impression of his younger self seems to be impatient. Evidence of this is shown in paragraph five when he is describing how he could not keep to his promises, and would take the rifle out to play around with it, against his word. “For a week or so I kept my promises.” This implies that he does not really remember how long he was able to hold out on playing with the rifle by his self. Also, the author seems to look at his younger self as sentimental, as shown through the paragraphs relating to the killing of the squirrel. The author uses words such as ‘blubbering’ and explains how he, “knelt down
