John Maynard Keynes is one of the most well-known economist throughout the world. He was a major influence in the world of economics. Economist Keynes made many contributions that has shaped the study and field of economics; however, he wasn’t always the influential economist everyone knows him for. Keynes was born on June 5th, 1883 in Cambridge, England into an academic family. His father, John Neville Keynes, was an economist and a philosopher who lectured in at the University of Cambridge teaching logic and political economy. Alongside being an economist, philosopher, and lecturer, he also wrote books. One of his books “Formal Logic” was published four months after John Maynard was born. John’s mother, Florence Ada Brown, was a highly successful author as well as being a great pioneer in social reform who became the town’s 1stfemale mayor.
