They are calculated from collected data that describe the startup’s historical and ongoing sales processes.” When further evaluating the Sales Metrics there are three subcategories that fall under it sales growth, market share, and sales from new products. Sales growth is utilized to determine the organizations overall strength in the marketplace. My organization would utilize this equation moving forward each quarter to judge our progress whether positive or negative. This will assist Caninantics with strategy if sales declined from the previous quarter. The equation to solve for sales growth is (Current Period Net Sales – Prior Period Net Sales) / Prior Period Net Sales * 100.
