My definition of leadership concept changes through my life course. Many people motivate me to seek a life of leadership but among them three distinctive leaders. The very first leader that I admired was in fact Mahatma Gandhi. His humble yet powerful influence in millions of his people attracted me. His style and approach were simple and it can be summarized in his own word " In mass civil resistance leadership is essential; in individual civil resistance every resister is his own leader." But then as I grew up I changed my mind and found him unattractive because he was not Muslim. Then I was attracted to Gamal Abdel Nasser . He sounded so powerful, had very passionate speeches, had a vision and above all he was Muslim. Yet again I changed my mind because I released that he was making people worship and follow him not follow the vision. He was communist and his political views, in my opinion, was not quit right because it meant abusing the power and taking advantage of the naive boors and how follow him blindly. Then finally my mind sat on Shake Shakbot the former president of Abu Dhabi. He came before Shake Zayed and he was forced to leave the chair because he held principles that at that time were not acceptable and not modern. He believed that money should not be spent and he threw tons of money in the sea because he was afraid of what would it become to the people if money came so easy. I found his principles so attractive and visionary so I held him high in my mind as charismatic leadership. Not being afraid of what he believed the welfare of people even if the people don't see what he aimed for and will see it in future. Then I changed my mind for the last time about Gandhi. As my thoughts and feelings changes, I now genuinely believe Gandhi was one of the best charismatic leadership and that affective leader does not necessary means that they should be Muslim. In this leadership statement I will state what leadership styles I will use in my future career. Saying that I should follow only one leadership style is like saying that food recipe is consist only in one ingredient. Isn't food recipes uses many ingredient that contributes to the whole recipe and as small as salt but it is significant to the final result. That is how I feel about the leadership style.
