Discussion: For this week discussion, two variables were selected from High School Longitudinal Study Dataset 2009. The variables selected from this data set is an independent variable and a dependent variable. These variables were analyzed utilizing an impendent variable T test. The dependent variable selected is N1SCIYRS912 with the label of Years science teacher has taught high school science; This variable is measured as scale. The independent variable selected is N1BELIEVE with the label of Science teachers in this school believe all students can do well; this variable is measured as ordinal. The research question for these variables is: Would the experienced high school science teacher have hope or not that all the students could do well? Null hypothesis: The more experienced high school science teachers would not have hope that all the students could do well.
