Discussion: Four this week discussion two variables were selected to be assessed. These two variables are from the data set General Social Survey. The variables selected are sei10 wich is the dependent variable with label of R's socioeconomic index (2010), it is an interval ratio or scale measurement and the other variable is degree wich is the independent variable with label of RS HIGHEST DEGREE, the values are: 0 ( LT High School ), 1 (High School), 2 (Junior College) , 3 (Bachelor) and 4 (Graduate). The research question for this variable would be: Would there be a relationship between socio-economic status results and individual higher degree? The null hypothesis would be: There is no correlation between the socio-economic status and the highest degree achieved. The Levene’s test presented a sig value of less than .05 this means that the variance cannot be assumed to be equal. The p-value is of p<.001 this is lower than the conventional .5, this means that the null hypothesis would be rejected. It could be said that there is a relationship between the
