Surname 1 Name Professor Title Date [] Kirchhoff Laws Introduction After the study of Kirchhoff laws, I learnt that they are an important tool in analyzing electrical circuits in lumped models. They are also referred as Kirchhoff Law. In the study of Kirchhoff Laws, I came across two models or equalities used to analyze any form of an electrical circuit. The two models are the Kirchhoff’s current law, commonly known as KCL, and the Kirchhoff’s voltage law also referred to as KVL. The two model have re-invented my understanding of circuit theory analysis. This will go a long way in applying the principle of energy conservation to the rest of circuits in the community. Kirchhoff’s Current Law (KCL) In the Kirchhoff’s current law, I learnt that in any node in a circuit, the sum of all the currents flowing in a node is equal to the sum of all the currents flowing out (Bhattacharya 56). This means that the algebraic sum of all the currents at the node is zero.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.

Jill Tulane University ‘16, Course Hero Intern
