Project Proposal August 1, 2008 Management and Governance Project Project Overview Friendship Bridge is in a period of growth right now and we are considering various options first around management strategies, and second around governance options. We are looking at similar organizations around the world, either in the microfinance or broader development arena, to explore different organizational structures and models of shared resources. These can be broken down into five core areas: Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, Program Support, and Management Expertise & Governance. How are other global NGOs structured to share resources such as those listed above (e.g., one email and web host globally, or hosted at the local level?; Marketing housed at the international headquarters or managed locally?) Project Detail Researching a variety of global organizations students will create a report with specific and actionable recommendations on options for Friendship Bridge
