Professor Bowman Christian Smith December 6, 2016 Donald Trump’s Inauguration is still more than a month away, and yet the President-elect is already making shockwaves in the areas of domestic and foreign policy. Questions of how a Trump Presidency will effect world politics is still up to speculation, but if Trump’s campaign promises prove to be anything more than mere anti-Obama and Clinton slogans then we could be in for some serious problems. The outlandishness of Trump’s claims, such as his promise to build a 2,000-mile wall along the southern boarder, or his flippant remarks regarding NATO and NAFTA are unprecedented for an American president, as is apparent in the media’s difficulty in responding to them. Daniel Wagner, who is the managing director of risk solutions at Risk Cooperative and has published more than 500 articles on risk management and current affairs, in an article published by the Huffington Post weighed in on one of such campaign promises made by our future president.
