Navigate to the threaded discussion below and respond to the following: Given Rothman’s and Tarico’s positions, what components equip you to better understand race and ethnicity? What have you learned that you did not know/realize previously? Both authors agree that much progress has been made in the civil rights of blacks. The main difference in their opinions regards how far this country has come and how far it has yet to go. What I understand from there position is that racism is more than just a black and white issue. I think that the causes more racial issues are because of many people’s ignorance on racial issues. After reading Rothman’s and Tarico’s articles, what would you like to ask them to gain additional clarity? Do they think America can move forward to a post-racial society?
