Running head: QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH CRITIQUE1Rabiatu BanguraGrand Canyon UniversityNRS-433VJuly 2rd, 2017
QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH CRITIQUECLABSIThe issue of Central lines infections remains to be a major concern in the critical care setting. Those diseases that emanate from the central line infections have resulted to be abbreviated as CLABSIs (Central Line Associated Blood Infections). The infections remain to bea significant setback to the patients in general since it prolongs the time they stay in the different hospitals. It also drains the patients with the issue of financial stress. In this study, there are several practices that have been outlined in the prevention of CLABSIs. There are also ways in which the practices would be implemented (Kaur, 2015). Background of studyOne of the practices focused on include health improvement. This is through the use of central line procedures. The motivation in which patients prefer primary lines when admitted in ahospital is simply due to lack of competent veins for which to insert peripheral IVs to a peripheral laboratory draw. There are other medicines that fail to be administered through the peripheral veins. These are the ones that result to be administered through central lines. The research will come up with new controls for the disease. These are the practices that will assist the nurses to handle patients who report to them. There is a need to know these new procedures which will be the main recommendation of this research. The research will be instrumental in bringing out the differences in high-quality health centers with those that were of low quality. This is the act of preventing against CLABSI issues as well as how the implementation of policies has been done by the successful health institutions.
