Jenifer,There is a certain degree of participation that parents should want to have in their child’s education. By doing so, they are tracking their conduct, scores, the child’s participation in class, and overall academic achievements. Parents and guardians can have an active role by checking in with teachers from time to time by email or discussion correspondence and by the use of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs). Parents can learn and help their children with homework assignments in areas that their children are struggling in as well. Teachers would want this contributions as with teacher to student ratios, teachers can ensure that the children are been accounted for academically. There needs to be a small balance of homework at home. A child needs time to reset, reflect, and go over what they had learned during the day.
