They both have the same dreams of having a acre of land by themselves until. Lennie made a horrible mistake and George, has to killhim. George was right to kill Lennie. Curley and the others guys were going to kill him anyway. In the book, it says “ I’m gonna get him, I’m going for my shotgun. I’ll kill the big son-of-a-b*tch myself. I’ll shoot him inthe guts. Come on, you guys” ( Steinbeck 96 ). Curley wants to kill Lennie, so he goes for his shotgun. Curley would’ve killed him, if George didn’t kill him.Lennie did a lot if bad things. George tells slim what happens at weed, “ So, he reaches out to feel this red dress and the girl let’s out a squawk and that gets Lennie all mixed up, and he holds on cause thats the only thing he can think to do” ( Steinbeck 41 ).
