Into the Profession Thomas Ronan September 14, 2008 Graduating from a prestigious school like Providence College is only half the battle in becoming a successful and productive individual in the work force. The world that we have grown accustomed to living in is very competitive. As students we are faced with the arduous task of deciding who we want to work for and what we want to do; whether it be working for a small or large firm, private or public corporation, these questions come as no easy task. Decisions we make early on in life pave the path for future endeavors. The first step to making a wise career choice involves researching your options. Since the technological boom of the recent century, with the adaptation of the internet, we have easy access to an abundance of sources with incite on a variety of companies. In addition to the internet, you must network with others, ask questions and voice concerns. Knowledge is power! Having appropriate knowledge will lessen the likelihood of making a poor career choice.
