LOSSES IN BENDS AND APPARATUS I. Description of the Apparatus: Demonstration of the losses and characteristics associated with flow through bends and fittings. Hydraulics Bench Fl-l0, Losses in Bends Apparatus Fl-22, Stop watch (not supplied), Tapping clamp. With this apparatus we can measure losses in bends and we do the experiment for five times and after each time we read the differences between heads for each bends and after that we plot for each bend delta h versus V^2/2g and than with this we can find the k (constant for losses ). II. Data Obtained from Experiment: Time Meter Elbow Short bend Long bend Contraction Enlargement 24 75 55 34 24 46 21 29 58 45 27 19 40 15 35 43 32 18 14 27 9 38 33 26 16 12 22 8 50 22 19 11 7 13 7

What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
