Some of them have argued that internet porn has directly contributed to sexual crimes while others have failed to establish the link between the two. The legalization of porn in Denmark, Sweden and Germany directly contribute to the decrease in all types of sexual violence of all nature in these countries (Malamuth). Anti-pornography debates majorly in America were a main subject during the sex wars of the 1970s. The vocal camp that led this debate was composed of radical feminists that viewed sexual practices to be promoting violence against women. The movement fought for women's sexual pleasures and advocated for lesbianism feminism to be legalized and women to be protected against the dangers exposed to them by heterosexual sex practices. In addition, they fought against industries like pornography that cultivated heterosexual immorality among the citizens.
