BUSINESS TORTS AND ETHICS PAPER 2 Business Torts and Ethics Paper Is the intruder liable for what he has done? Why or why not? Yes, the intruder is highly liable for he did. He is liable for two things that occurred in the scenario. One he is liable for the damages he caused as well as the injuries that the victims sustained because of him. The intruder can be legally viable for various reasons one of them being trespassing. This is because going into the house the intruder did not have any permission from the residents of the house that is Sharon to get in her apartment. From the scenario, we are told that the intruder broke into the house meaning that he did not even seek permission from the owner of the house to get in. The intruder can also be legally liable for causation in fact. Causation, in fact, refers to an action that leads to injury on a victim (Clarkson, Miller & Cross, 2012). In the scenario, the intruder injured both Sharon and Darryl by cutting them as they tried to drive them away. These actions could also be charged with battery and assault. This is because the intruder can be charged for the damage and injury that he brought about during the break in. Other legal liabilities include intentional tort since he committed
