-1 Being a successful teacher requires the melding of many different important personality traits, some of which are innate, and others which must be acquired. Over the course of my life, I feel that I have gained many characteristics which will be beneficial to me as a teacher. My unique experiences and situations have helped to shape my personality in a way that I believe will help me to serve my students at the highest level. One of the most important characteristics that I possess is my passion for teaching. Passion is something that I believe many teachers lose after teaching for a while, or that many students studying to become teachers don’t have enough of. Without passion for teaching--no matter the subject--there is no life to bring your students in and make them want to learn. This trait can spice up even the most boring of lessons, because if one displays an intensity about a subject then people are more willing to learn from them. I also believe that leadership skills are important to have as a teacher. I
