Lift and Drag Newton’s third law of motion expresses as for every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction (Hewitt, Suchocki, & Hewitt, 2012, p. 47) and Bernoulli’s Effort or Principal which says “that as a fluid's velocity increases its pressure decreases”. According to the Physics of Flight, as an engine increases its thrust, or power the reaction of this is that the aircraft will gain speed as the engine’s power results in the air (the reaction to the engine) pushing the engine away thus creating the speed. Then Bernoulli’s Principal allows this speed to result in an increased in flow over the plane’s wing. This flow will create an uneven flow due to the shape of the wing resulting in lift which will cause the wing to lift the aircraft. Thus the principle of “fluid's velocity increases its pressure decreases” cause the necessary lift needed to allow planes to lift
