Where We’ve Been This course has three primary objectives. First, students will analyze complex political phenomena and relationships between important political institutions, actors, and processes in the American and Texan political systems. Second, students will evaluate salient current events through the lens of prominent theories in the political science discipline. Third, students will strengthen their knowledge of and ability to fulfill their role in a well-functioning democracy. 7
