In this Novel, young boys are stranded on a deserted island attempting to create a civilized society and through their attempt they learn about the evil that is within everyone. The author created two characters that are leading the entire group of boys. These two main characters could easily symbolize 2 great leaders at that time, Ralph as chamberlain and Jack as Hitler. These two young men are very different from each other but have one thing in common, and that is the power to lead. CHARACTERISTICS Both characters are very similar when it comes to looks. Ralph is the athletic, charismatic protagonist of Lord of the Flies.
