Tuesday Section First Assignment (#14) LexisNexis Question 1 Searched United States Code Service [occupational /5 health /5 safety ] Saw that “29 U.S.C. § 651” followed “Occupational Safety and Health Act” so I typed it in the search by citation box and got the result of 29 U.S.C.S. § 651 At this page it answered the question of when the code section was first enacted Effective date of Act Dec. 29, 1970. Act Dec. 29, 1970, P.L. 91-596 , § 34, 84 Stat. 1620 , provided: "This Act shall take effect one hundred and twenty days after the date of its enactment.". I then went back a step by clicking on the heading which was “Chapter 15. Occupational Safety and Health” I check off the box for chapter 15 so all the sections within chapter 15 were checked I search for [1990] and found the following 1990 Acts o Toxic Substances Control Act. Act Nov. 28, 1990, P.L. 101-637 , § 15(a), 104 Stat. 4596 , provides: "In exercising any authority under the Toxic Substances Control Act [15 USCS §§ 2601 et seq.] in connection with amendment made by subsection (a) this section, the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency shall not, for purposes of section 4(b) (1) the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 [subsection (b)(1) of this section], be considered to be exercising statutory authority to prescribe or enforce standards or regulations affecting occupational safety and health.". o Chemical process safety management. Act Nov. 15, 1990, P.L. 101-549 , Title III, § 304, 104 Stat. 2576 o The third place that an Act is referenced is under § 666 and it shows up in the History section and is classified as an amendment Nov. 5, 1990, P.L. 101-508 , Title III, Subtitle B, § 3101, 104 Stat. 1388 -29 Act Nov. 5, 1990 , in subsec.
