Article Review # 3 The article “Contribution of Ethiopia-Nubia and Egypt” was a very interesting article. This article had many strengths. The article introduces a topic that many readers are unfamiliar with. It does a great job of showing how Egypt affected many different forms of life. The Egyptians were the first to denounce theft and homicide. They valued peace, and giving to the poor when most other civilizations were barbaric. The article does a great job of showing how the Greeks took many things from the Egyptians. The Greeks took some of the Egyptians’ religion and their God. The article does a great job of quoting some of the Greek philosophers who give credit for their knowledge and customs to the Egyptians. Greek architecture was also influenced by the Egyptians. For example, the article claims that even the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, shows signs of having Egyptian architecture roots. The Greeks also took ideas of the Egyptians represented in their great pyramids. In addition the great pyramids were created with
