After reading this article by Joshua Cuevas, I have to say that I slightly lean more to his side when arguingthe general assertions about learning styles primarily reaching an audience of educators as its target audience. Taking the following statement from this article, I will begin to explain my reasoning. Cuevas says, “The learning styles hypothesis is arguably more important to teacher education than any other field because what tens of thousands of pre-service teachers learn in certification programs and subsequently take with them into the classroom can potentially impact the instruction of millions of k-12students over the decades they teach” (Cuevas). I would say that teachers both in the world of academia and the world of religious teaching, benefit the most from the knowledge of learning styles.
