1. Introduction The present report is the assignment 1 of the Entrepreneurship module. In this report, a start-up business “Eco - Clean plc” is selected as a case study to complete the assignment requirements. The first part of this report will discuss about the company, its mission and objectives whereas the second part will discuss about use of multilevel marketing for the business especially to enter international market. 2. The start-up business plan: 2.1 Eco-Clean Plc Eco-Clean plc is a new small business start-up and dealing in eco-friendly cleaning products. John Mendoza has founded the Eco-Clean plc as an UK registered company. The business operations will be done from the central London. 2.2 Company’s vision: The company’s vision is well protected, clean and healthy environment, which fully supports both society and economy in a sustainable manner. 2.3 Company’s mission: The mission of the company is to develop an eco-friendly distribution company by using grassroots and the techniques of network marketing for selling the product, but eventually contributing to the environment in a meaningful manner. The main motto and objectives of Eco- Clean is to support the members, who will in turn support the environment. 2.4 Segmentation and Target Market Two customer segments have been targeted by Eco-Clean plc within UK. The first one is the direct individual customers to use the product for their households. These customers are environmental friendly and have tenacity to use non-toxic cleaner for their domestic use. Politically liberal, younger and interested to make a marking as their individual contributions for our Mother Planet, are the characteristics of these demography (Christensen & Christensen, 2007). The second one is a select group from the first group. A few of these two groups will be recruited as the Eco- Clean plc products’ distributors. These distributors are to sell the Eco -Clean plc products by setting a customer base of their own. This customer base is the actual users and purchasers of the products. This passionate sales force possesses the full confidence of the product they deal in. The distributors get a sales commission after recruiting new distributors for new sales. By this way the MLM model runs through. Some consumers of Eco- Clean plc become the company’s distributors
