Rochester Institute of Technology 4050 351 Homework 3: IEEE Technical Paper Due date: will be assigned by your lecture instructor Assignment: You are to write a 5-page double-spaced paper on some topic related to LAN Standards. You must use the 802.3  standard as the basis for your paper. There are many sections to this standard. Select one and use the standard for  the foundation of your topic. In researching your paper you must use  at least 5 additional sources , 2 of these must  be technical sources about the same topic as the IEEE standard you selected. The other three should be articles  about how this standard is implemented and used.  For example, if you select the standard on Gigabit Ethernet write  about the technology using the standard and two other sources which also talk about the technology. Then find 3  articles that discuss Gigabit Ethernet from an implementation or usage point of view. Your paper  must  meet the  following specifications: 1. Double spaced 2. 12-point, Times Roman font 3. 1" margin on sides and bottom, 1.25" top margin (MS Word defaults) 4. Any diagrams must be referenced in the paper by figure number and attached as a separate page(s) 5. Documents referenced must be noted in an attached bibliography. You may use any standard format for  the bibliography. Submission:
