Dear (Your Name Here) The Alumni Travel Club would like to take this opportunity to let you know about an upcoming even—a ten-day excursion to Alaska! We usually don’t announce these trips until all of the details are nailed down, but we need to know how much interest there will be. The more people that want to go, the less expensive it will be for everyone. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are seriously considering this trip. The tentative dates for the trip are July 2 to July 13. We will fly into Seattle, spend the night there, and fly on to Anchorage on the July 3. The flight home will be non-stop. We have made arrangements with several places for lodging, including a couple of nights at the University of Alaska-Pacific, which is located inside the Anchorage city limits. According to our contact person, a family of three moose wanders through the parking lot several times a day. Make sure you bring your cameras!

Unformatted text preview: We have also arranged special transportation to several beautiful sites, and will be renting vans so we can go off on our own to explore this magnificent country. Some of the adventures we have planned are: • A train trip to Seward, followed by a four-hour boat ride to see the wildlife in the area. • A trip to Portage Glacier. • A flight to Denali from Talkeetna. • A climb up Mt. Alyeska. • Panning for gold. • A day in Fairbanks. You will almost certainly see whales, otters, sea lions, mountain goats and sheep, puffins, plenty of bald eagles, in addition to bears, moose, and an occasional marmot. This will be the experience of a lifetime! The prices are not set yet, but we have assurances that as Alumni Travel Club members, you will save at least $1,000 off the best price you can get anywhere else. Once again, please let us know as soon as possible if you think you might want to go....
